Meet The Staff
Allison Lips
I’m the founder and editor of Wait! What’s a Dial? I just graduated from Rowan University with a degrees in radio/TV/film and journalism. I watch pretty much anything, but I have a particular fondness for late night television, especially Conan O’Brien, David Letterman, Johnny Carson, and Steve Allen. My favorite shows of all time are Hogan’s Heroes, The Monkees, Burns and Allen, The Jack Benny Program, The Larry Sanders Show, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, and Yes, Minister. Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of British television, both good and bad. If any of our British friends can explain Noel Edmonds’ career, it will be greatly appreciated.
Sam Sciarrotta
Hi, all! I’m Sam, and I’m 23-year-old writer from Central Jersey. My first television love affair was with Lost, though I was a pretty big fan of The Real Ghostbusters as a kid. I binge watched Supernatural during my senior year of college and I don’t think I’ve gone more than a month without starting a new show since. Currently, Breaking Bad is my beloved, but some of my other favorites are Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation, Homeland, 30 Rock, Saturday Night Live, The Nanny, and The Walking Dead, when it isn’t bastardizing the comics and its female characters.
Marissa Roth
Hey everyone! I’m Marissa and I’m a 22-year-old writer from Central Jersey. I am a recent college graduate from Rowan University with a bachelors degree in Radio/TV/Film as well as an associate degree in Television from Mercer County Community College. Currently, The Big Bang Theory is my favorite show to watch by far. Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady in my mind are comedic geniuses. Never in my wildest imagination, did I think I would love a show like this, but everything about it makes me enjoy it. The characters, the situational comedy, the multicamera shoot and even the dialogue is so clever. I happen to own every season of the show as well as have shirts and posters in my room. Not only am I in love with comedic shows, am I a big reality show junkie. I can’t get enough of it. Some of it is complete garbage, but just so entertaining to watch. Other shows I love watching are Glee, Switched at Birth, Hell’s Kitchen, Masterchef, Catfish, Hollywood Game Night, America’s Next Top Model. Also I just enjoy watching the reruns of 90s classics (Full House, Boy Meets World, The Nanny, Fresh Prince of Bell Air, Everybody Loves Raymond, etc). I enjoy watching television shows whether it may be from today or as way back as Leave it to Beaver. I just really appreciate how television has changed over the years and to see what the future has in store.

Victoria Nyquist
Hello! I am Victoria Nyquist. I am 22 and live in Northern Jersey. I recently graduated from Rowan University with a degree in Radio/TV/Film. My hobbies include drowning in coffee, sleeping in tauntauns, and watching an exorbitant amount of television. I watch too much TV to pick favorites but some examples are Community, Doctor Who, and The Walking Dead. My other vices include reading and watching random horror movies on Netflix. When I’m not avoiding my adult responsibilities, I am wasting my life away on Twitter and Tumblr.
Alex Prekop
I’m Alex Prekop, a 21 year old senior at Rowan University majoring in Radio/TV/Film. My goal is to break into film/TV production, particularly editing, but I also enjoy the journalistic side of the industry as well. When I’m not watching classic Hollywood cinema on TCM, I usually watch TV for mystery shows and well done character dramas. I always find myself returning to The Prisoner, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and The Avengers.
